Dr. Ms. Stratton,
This letter is being sent to you as a direct response to the last letter you've recently sent to me regarding the need for internet policy. In my opinion and view, it is most imperative for companies online to have a policy of internet usage.
This matter is of the utmost importance, especially given that the electronic technology today is growing in a tremendous pace and updates are being created and launched every single day. Given the time an average person spends online connected to the internet today, there is a definite and unmistakable need for a sort of internet police, which is aimed at protecting online users from having their computers invaded by the countless viruses, Trojan horses and other electronic menaces there are on the net.
The average internet user doesn't have much knowledge about how to defend him or herself from these severe threats, which could cause the computer many serious and various problems reaching up until a complete destruction of the computer, making it unfixable. The severity of the issue cannot be stressed enough. People today surfing the net are more often than not unaware of the many dangers that exist within the cyber space and only some rely on the defenses of anti-viruses and firewalls, which are sometimes insufficient to protect the computer.
This leads us to the issue of the internet policy for companies. In order to benefit customers as well as defend their online assets, companies today use more and more what is called an internet police or internet use policies.
These include programmers who work diligently on protecting these companies' site from hackers wanting to damage and cause destruction within the cyber space. Their job is to update the defenses their companies have from these online threats to both the company and the users surfing that company's site. Without them, it is very likely that these sites would be susceptible to electronic attacks including the implantation of viruses and Trojan horses on the site, something which could result in the crashing of the site, the irreparable damage of the computers of the company and the contagion of users' computers also. This is a level of devastation unheard of before the digital and electronic age.
It is most important to be cautious and prudent regarding this, otherwise the results could be catastrophic. It is best to beware of these threats, and the internet police does it very well. Among the fields it covers are email protection, site protection, software development against online threats and personal, live protection on what goes on within the company's site in order to detect possible electronic threats as quickly as possible. It is clear to me, and hopefully to you as well by now, that this internet use policy is of critical importance! I hope you agree with me. If not, you are more than welcome to send me another letter and state your opinion.
Sincerely,
R.L
